Shiva Lingam stones are only formed in the Namada River high in the mountains of Mandhata in the central western part of India. The stone has been called, the “Stepping Stone To Enlightenment,” and it is recognized by many spiritual leaders for its healing and balancing powers. The egg-shaped stone is a very rare form of quartz know as cryptocrystalline, which means a secret or mysterious crystalline structure. The crystals of the shiva lingam are so tiny that they cannot be seen without a microscope. Amazingly, the microscopic structure is completely chaotic and amorphous and no apparent crystal shape can be detected. To alchemists, this deep chaos is a signature of the First Matter. This extremely dense quartz crystal contains the highest vibration or frequency of all natural stones on Earth, and the stone is used to purify the emotional environment in homes and temples. TOUCHSTONES

Touchstones are gemstones meant to be rubbed or touched during meditation. With origins in ancient Greece, touchstones are smooth, polished gemstones in the shape of an oval with a thumb-sized indentation. Held between the index finger and thumb, rubbing them is believed to deepen relaxation and increase awareness. They worked so well in lessoning one's stress and worries that they became known as "worry stones" during the Middle Ages. In the East, similar gemstones are used in mantra meditation in which one rubs the stone each time a mantra is uttered. The practice of touchstone meditation is very grounding and seems to connect one with earth energies and mineral spirits.

AMETHYST TRIQUETRA TOUCHSTONE

Oval shape, amethyst worry stone with Triquetra engraved in black on front side. The symbol has been around since Neolithic times. Basically, a stylized trefoil knot, the Triquetra represents the divine trinity or three alchemical principles of Sulfur, Mercury, and Salt. In the Christian tradition, it represents the union of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost in the godhead. The Triquetra is composed of three vesica piscii, which is the sacred symbol of spiritual unity worshipped by the Pythagoreans.
